Blogs as Clubhouses

     Blogs as Clubhouses by Stefanac was very interesting to read, partially because I read Rebecca Blood's blog right before.  While Blood talks about the history of blogging and how it gives people a mode to express opinions, Blogs as Clubhouses looks at blogging as a way to get fans and how it can become profitable.  This chapter tells how to make a successful blog.  I found from reading this that it is important to have catchy titles on your blog and to write with personality.  It also suggests to keep on updating to get people into the habit of checking your blog.
    It was interesting to look at blogging as a way to share opinions with others who have similar interests.  I hope to use these tips on my blog to make it successful like the examples this chapter gives such as Mr. Jalopy.  Although one tip says to not blog for money or fame, but if I could some how make my class blog good enough to gain attention and possibly make money off it, that would be amazing.
